Cookies and Cream Cheese Football

As promised!! I could easily eat my weight in this stuff and I’m so glad my mom came across this recipe a while ago, although the number on the scale probably isn’t too happy🤣🤣 I’m going to get right to it!
The picture above is courtesy of my mom last year, making this delicious dessert for me for Valentines Day so it can of course change shape or object depending on the party you are throwing or attending! Her first go around with this was for a football watch party in their neighborhood and the original recipe is from a wonderful food blogger named Aimee who has so so many recipes! Her blog is called Shugary Sweets and I have gone ahead and linked her blog for you all already! Instead of just sharing the boring directions on how to make the Valentines Day heart, I will be posting the directions for making the Cookies and Cream Cheese Football! I will also reshare the lovely photos that Aimee shared of the football version because I don’t think my Mom got a photo for her neighborhood party and it is such a great idea and quite adorable! Yield: 10-12 Servings

Prep Time

Chill Time

Total Time
1 hour 5 minutes

➣ 1 package (8oz) cream cheese, softened
➣ 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
➣ 2 cups powdered sugar
➣ 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
➣ 18 double stuff Oreos, crushed
➣ 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter for 3 minutes. Add powdered sugar and beat an additional 2 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. Remove a spoonful (about 2-3tbsp) and place in a small ziplock bag. Seal and set aside.
2. In the bowl with the cream cheese mixture, add chocolate syrup and crushed Oreo cookies. Blend completely.
3. Line a large bowl with plastic wrap and drop the cream cheese mixture into the plastic wrap lined bowl. Fold up the plastic around the cream cheese ball. Refrigerate for about an hour.
4. Remove plastic wrap and shape cheese ball into your football on a serving plate. Press chocolate chips into top and sides until completely covered. Using your reserved baggie of cream cheese mixture, snip off the corner and pipe onto cream cheese football. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Enjoy with Nilla wafers or graham crackers!!
I hope you guys enjoy this recipe as much as I do! It has definitely become a staple in our house! Source: Shugary Sweets Blog,
